Why did Bad News Eagles disbanned ?

Bad News Eagles have revealed they will be disbanding following a final appearance at the IESF, marking the conclusion of their remarkable three-year journey as an organization-less team.

The Kosovar roster came together under the Bad News Eagles name in March 2022 and embarked on an unexpected Cinderella story, progressing from the RMR qualifiers all the way to the Legends Stage at PGL Major Antwerp.
Rigon says that “it was a good run” and the whole team needs new direction after this.

Following two back-to-back Major appearances at IEM Rio and BLAST.tv Paris, where they notably knocked out FaZe in the Legends Stage at Rio, the roster earned a spot with GUILD ahead of PGL Major Copenhagen.

However, as Guild Eagles, the team struggled to find form—missing qualification for the Copenhagen Major and falling short in several online events and qualifiers. In May 2024, GUILD parted ways with the lineup, which then split up for the rest of the year before reuniting in January under the Bad News Eagles banner.

Despite the reunion, early exits in qualifiers and continued challenges in online cups persisted, leading to the decision to disband after IESF.

“These past few months have been difficult, and we weren’t able to see the improvement we hoped for as a team,” the announcement reads.

“Though the team is disbanding, the spirit, legacy, and passion for the game remain strong. This isn’t farewell — it’s the close of one chapter and the start of many new ones.”
